Even when it’s raining.
Living with dogs means that there will always be at least one time, each day, when I will have something to smile about.
Even when I’m sad.
Living with dogs means that I might find out about different ways to play with my dog.
Like fly ball. Or agility.
Living with dogs means that I might get really serious about different things to do with my dog.
Like Search and Rescue. Or pet therapy
Living with dogs means that I’ll meet other really cool dog owners who like to do fun things with their dogs too!
We might get together and do things that help other dogs.
Like teach other dogs and their humans about how to behave with each other.
Living with dogs means finding out that other dogs need advocates.
So, we might get together to help save homeless dogs that need to come in off the streets.
Living with dog means that sometimes there will be Things That Come Up.
Like unexpected vet costs or a run-in with an ignorant dog owner.
Living with dogs means that you might get to teach your children about the power of unconditional love.
Or, how to live in the present moment.
Living with dogs means that you might get to learn things about yourself that you never imagined.
Like how to be more self-confident, more patient or kind.
Or more spontaneous.
Living with dogs means that you might start out seeing the world in shades of only black and white
And, you discover living with dogs opens your eyes to a world of color.
Color that was always there.
But you just didn’t know where to find it.
And now, you do.
