You Can’t Get There From Here

Seems to be that time of year when bloggers like to post scenic folliage photos of roads.  Didn’t want to be left out,  so here’s mine.

I especially like the splashes of crimson.  Not so happy about the overcast sky, but some days,  you take what you can get.

Life’s not always about getting what you want when you want it.

Another thing I like is that this is a fairly nondescript road.  It could be anywhere.  Leading someplace.  Leading no place.

You can borrow it if you’d like.  It can be your road.

Buy something.   Could be there’s a shopping mall farther down,  around the bend.

Have an adventure.  Maybe this is one of those back roads that gets you down to the lake.

Go by yourself and test your mettle or take a friend and share the memory.

Walk your dog and get some exercise;  go off-road and flush out the deer.

Shove your hands deep into your pockets and next time,  bring gloves.

Don’t forget to stop every once in a while to check the air temperature or to look behind you.

Could be a car coming.  Maybe a truck.

Trucks are a siren song to my son.  He’s casually looking around to see what he can afford.

Casually looking when he talks about trucks to me.  But, I think he really wants one.

If you’re lucky,  you might see a hawk.  That’s if you don’t forget to look up.

Watch where you put your feet.  Don’t want to trip and fall now, do you?

This is not a journey where you need a map.

Just remember that you can’t always get there from here.  [gplus count=”true” size=”Medium” ]
