Lights. Camera. Action and Vision.

Lights. Camera. Action! This camera belongs to Honey DeLapa.  She’s a professional photographer … and, she’s my friend.

Honey does with photographs what I do with words and finally, last Friday, we met down at her studio in Honeoye Falls so that she could take some photographs of Tessa and me.

She’ll tell you that she doesn’t specialize in dog photography. Which I suppose is true. But. She did a fabulous job of shooting us. And, you can be the judge of how she did. So, stay tuned.

We opted for studio shots and not outside shots because I thought being inside of Honey’s studio would be less distracting for Tessa. Much to my surprise, Tessa was pretty happy with what we asked her to do: hold a sit, hold a sit. Hold a sit.

I’ve been talking with Honey about one of my project ideas: a children’s books with photographs and we were able to talk about that once we’d finished the shoot. (And, you thought I was “just a blogger,” right?)

Wrong.

The blog’s just the beginning. The place where I get to try things out, take an idea and change its shape or find out if anyone besides me likes it.

It’s also a great way to meet other like-minded folks, to share other people’s stories and to clear my head; hone my words, and dream.

I’m excited. About Friday’s session. About collaborating on a creative project; about pushing the envelope, making something that just might be bigger than what Honey and I do individually.

…and, it’s only Monday.  I feel like I’m just getting started.  [gplus count=”true” size=”Medium” ]
