You wouldn't believe how hard it is to take a decent photograph of an acrylic (empty) dog house with a cute pix of a nondescript dog attached to the back. Paper Tiger

This is a paper tiger at rest, otherwise known as Onyx, the newest member of our happy band family, in a pose I never thought I'd capture on film. Onyx: One Exotic-Looking, Black Cat.

For two or three days, we called him Charlie or Simon as his given name, Onyx felt awkward to us because even though we knew certain things about him, we didn't really know him. Like every cat lover on the face of the planet, we called upon our cat friends to check him out and to suggest names. One Cool Cat.

Okay, not the best photograph ever taken, if your eyes drift away from the very cool cat claiming ownership of the chair. Please note the catcher's mitt, extended paw; the boy is an extra-toed, former barn cat.
