Find Me On Facebook!

"graphic pix of great dane in play bow"

Facebook can be both a blessing and a curse. It's "that thing' we love to hate when we get locked out of our own account because some cyberspace gremlin decides to mess with our page or it's that amazingly fast connection we can make with a true kindred spirit.  In less than 48 hours, I've been blessed. When I finished yesterday's post about Susan Kottwitz's amazing story and sat back and read it one last time before hitting the publish button, I was dumbfounded. There, in her own words, was … [Read more...]

Tessa Speaks

"Min Pin mixed breed"

Once upon a time, before she became a lake dog, she was a stray that got picked up and taken to an animal shelter. She got lucky because the family who adopted her saw her sweetness ... and thought she was beautiful too. She could have been a victim of something called Black Dog Syndrome. BDS is a false … [Read more...]

happy tails 126

This charming, clear-eyed, black beauty is Brutus. He's a two year old lab-mix that has the honor to be the very first canine to go through the Pet Connection program offered through the Ontario ARC. They say that the eyes are the window of the soul and looking into Brutus' eyes, I feel in my heart that that's true. I haven't met him yet but because there is so much excitement out in Ontario about this young dog, I wanted to at least introduce you to him and to tell you about him through … [Read more...]
