Last night, I went with my son to the Green Lantern Inn, in the village of Fairport. I was his date for Lollypop Farm's annual banquet for almost 230 of its volunteers - which included my son. He's one of the volunteer dog walkers. There was a social hour before we sat down to dinner which I put to good use by scoping out the appetizer table and keeping an eye out for people I'd know. Boxer Love at Ontario ARC’s Pet Connections Program

For the regular visitors to my blog, you know that this tired gorgeous boxer is my main squeeze, my bud, my heart throb.  You'll remember that his name is Albert, that his human guardian is my friend, Gail Furst. Gail's got a lot of professional initials that come after her last name that I won't even begin to explain. When Words Get in The Way.

There was a book case against one wall of her office, directly across from her desk. And, there were lots of books jumbled together on the shelves, including several of the Carl books, written by Alexandra Day. I bought two of the Carl books for my son when he was still a baby. I'll bet that a lot of other moms did too. The books are all about the pictures illustrations and nothing about the words.
